Education A Tale of Five Cellos may be used as part of a series that demonstrates different orchestral instruments.
A package is available on request that comprises programme details, elements, features, aims and objectives, ideas for activities before and after visit, diagrams of instruments and bows that may be copied and circulated round the classroom, teachers' notes, a timeline with illustrations and full biographical details.
Other ideas to be tied in with a solo recital:
Individual lessons in the following categories: Young child plus one parent (Age 4-11) Consultation lessons (Age 11-18) Cello students (Age 18-25) wishing to develop their performance practice in private lessons or masterclasses Teachers wishing to teach early style on modern instruments Professional players who wish to develop their historical techniques
Group lessons in the following categories: using specific repertoire e.g. Associated Board, Suzuki Several students or teachers with a common aim playing repertoire of own choice Suzuki groups Chamber music coaching A teacher with his/her pupils
Larger groups in the following categories: Conferences: recital or demonstration similar to 'A Tale of Five Cellos' INSET days to include orchestral coaching, individual lessons and demonstration Masterclasses Orchestral days for teachers Talks for students or teachers
